Pastelillos de Guayaba
Ingredients
  • 1 sheet Pillsbury Puff Pastry
  • 8 oz guava paste
  • 4 tbsp hot water
  • 1 cup poswedered sugar
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees
  2. In a stand mixer (or handheld mixer) cream the guava paste with the hot water until you for a soft creamy paste
  3. Run a dough roller docker, over the puff pastry sheet
  4. Cut the puff pastry sheet with a 2" square cutter and place them on a baking sheet that has been lined with baking paper
  5. Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for 18-20 minute, or until light and golden in color
  6. Let the puff pastry cool before proceeding
  7. Cut the puff pastry squares in half and place a tablespoon of guava paste on the center and close together
  8. Sprinkles powdered sugar on top of the puff pastry squares
Recipe Notes
You can substitute the guava paste, with other ingredients such as fruit preserves or even Nutella.
